Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has revealed that he is keen to win the Community Shield against Manchester City this weekend.

The FA Cup and Premier League winners go head to head at Villa Park on Sunday to battle it out for the first piece of silverware of the season.

"Every time you play you want to win and this is the first chance for us to pick up a trophy in the new season," Cahill told the Football Association's official website.

"I've really got a taste for it now and I want to go on, do more and win more competitions. I'm as hungry as I have ever been going into this season."

The new campaign will be Cahill's first full season with the Blues following his January move from Bolton Wanderers.
