Nicolas Anelka thanks Chelsea fans

Nicolas Anelka has thanked Chelsea's fans for "four wonderful years" following his move to Shanghai Shenhua.

The Frenchman signed a reported £175,000-per-week deal with the Asian club earlier this month.

"I want to acknowledge and send a big thank you to the Chelsea fans, players and all those working in the shadow of the club," he tweeted.

"I spent four wonderful years at this great club and especially a warm 'thank you England'."

Shenhua are the 10th club Anelka has played for during his 16-year professional career.
