Roman Abramovich wants Louis van Gaal at Chelsea

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly targeted Louis van Gaal as the next manager at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Di Matteo is currently the caretaker coach of the Blues following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas at the start of the month.

Abramovich is thought to view former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss Van Gaal as the sort of authoritative presence needed in the dressing room, according to The Mirror.

The 60-year-old has been out of work after he was dismissed from Bayern in April 2011.
