Anthony Stokes signs Celtic contract extension

Celtic forward Anthony Stokes has signed a new three-year contract with the Scottish champions.

The Republic of Ireland international, 25, joined the Hoops from Hibernian in 2010.

His previous deal was due to expire next summer, but the new terms will see him remain at Parkhead until 2017.

Stokes has scored five goals in 16 games for Celtic so far this season.
