Late Mario Bermejo strike wins it for Celta Vigo

Goals from Iago Aspas and Mario Bermejo give Celta a 2-1 win over Granada in La Liga this afternoon.

Celta Vigo have beaten Granada 2-1 at Estadio de Balaidos this afternoon.

Goals from Iago Aspas and Mario Bermejo were enough to give the home side the points, despite Odion Ighalo's strike for Granada.

Aspas grabbed the opening goal after 24 minutes, when a darting run into the penalty area left him one-on-one with Granada goalkeeper Tono, before he calmly chipped the ball beyond the on-rushing custodian.

Four minutes later, the visitors were level when the lively Ighalo thumped home a strike that gave Celta goalkeeper Javi Varas no chance.

With both teams pressing for the winner, it was the home side who claimed it when Bermejo struck with just nine minutes remaining.

Augusto Fernandez's low cross was sliced home somewhat fortuitously from Bermejo to give his side a vital win in the battle against relegation in La Liga.
