Spanish midfielder moves to Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar have secured the services of Spanish midfielder Corona on a two-year contract.

The 34-year-old, who started his career in the Real Madrid academy, has made the switch following a long stint with Almeria.

"The attacking, possession-based style of the Roar suits my game," he told the club's official website.

"This style and the positive approach to football by [head coach] John Aloisi is what drew me to the club. Now I can't wait to get onto the field and show what I can do."

The former Spain Under-21 international spent nine years with Almeria, during which time he scored 22 goals in 312 appearances.
