Bradford City sign Lewis Clarkson

Bradford City have completed the signing of striker Lewis Clarkson on a free transfer from non-league outfit Scarborough Athletic.

The 18-year-old, who has agreed an 18-month-deal at Valley Parade, was released by Hull City during the summer.

Bradford assistant manager Steve Parkin believes that Clarkson has good potential.

"He is one for the future. We felt, as a long-term project, he was worth the investment," Parkin told BBC Radio Leeds.

"He can become a very dangerous player. He certainly has an eye for goal and that's why we took him."

Clarkson scored nine goals in five starts for Scarborough this season.
