Bradford City and Salford City bring the curtain up in 2023 at The University of Bradford Stadium, with both sides submerged in the increasingly-competitive playoff battle.

The Bantams currently occupy seventh position in the League Two standings, while Neil Wood's side head into the weekend's round of matches only one point behind Sunday's hosts.

The two teams enter this contest off the back of contrasting results in midweek, with the U's losing at home to AFC Wimbledon and the Robins securing all three points away at Northampton Town.

However, it will be a tough test for the home side, as the visitors are fourth in the table, and come into the match off the back of two consecutive wins.

Doncaster have been showing inconsistent signs all season, and that is why we do not expect them to follow up their midweek victory with another three points on Sunday.

The Mariners sit in 16th position, while Dave Challinor's side are only two points outside of the increasingly competitive playoff picture.

Two teams towards the wrong end of the League Two table will lock horns on New Year's Day, as Hartlepool United welcome Harrogate Town to Victoria Park.

Hartlepool are currently 21st in the table, boasting just 18 points from their opening 23 matches, while Harrogate are 19th, having picked up 22 points from their opening 22 games of the campaign.

This might not be a classic, with both managers likely to be wary of losing rather than actively going in search of all the points. Hartlepool have been poor at home this season, but Harrogate have also struggled away, so we have had to settle on a goalless draw on New Year's Day.
