Juventus booked their place in the last eight of the Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Heading into the game with a 2-1 lead from the first leg, Juventus made the perfect start as Carlos Tevez fired home from 25 yards in just the third minute.

Dortmund struggled to create chances as the visiting defence impressed, and Massimiliano Allegri's side wrapped up a 5-1 aggregate triumph with goals from Alvaro Morata and Tevez after the break.

8.40pmHow can Dortmund get back in this tie? Well, they've attacked far too narrowly in the first half and that has played into the hands of the Juventus quartet in midfield. The full backs need to get forward more often to provide the hosts with a different option. Finding a way to stretch Chiellini and Bonucci is vital. The central defensive duo have marked Aubameyang out of the game.

8.37pmUPDATE: As it stands, Barcelona are cruising through at the expense of Manchester City. They lead 1-0 on the night thanks to Ivan Rakitic's goal and currently hold a 3-1 aggregate advantage.

Tevez's powerful effort in just the third minute has given them a 3-1 aggregate lead, and the pressure is all on Dortmund, who just haven't been able to find their attacking rhythm tonight. Reus, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Gundogan have all been disappointing, while Juventus have defended excellently. Can Klopp inspire a turnaround?

45+1 minJuventus are finishing the first half confidently as Dortmund waste a good opening on the edge of the box again. There just isn't enough space in the middle of the pitch to get through the visiting side's diamond.

43 minDortmund live dangerously when they miss the chance to clear the danger on three separate occasions. However, the ball won't drop for Morata or Tevez and Subotic eventually cleans up the mess.

42 minJuventus are slowing the game down whether the ball is in play or not, and you can't really blame them. They've executed this game plan very well so far, and they could still cause problems on the break.

40 minIt's starting to get very frustrating for Dortmund as Juventus enjoy a long spell of possession. We've barely seen Gundogan get involved for the hosts, and that's a big concern as he can be the driving force in this side.

37 minAubameyang finally gets involved in the game when he drops deeper to collect a lofted ball. However, the forward wastes a yard of space by dragging a shot wide from the edge of the box.

35 minBuffon lives dangerously when he sprints off his line to collect under pressure from Reus, but he calmly drops the ball at his feet before stepping outside the box. Great goalkeeping once again.

33 minPoor from Dortmund. Some good football creates space on the right for Bender, but he chips a cross straight to Buffon. They've not even come close to creating a chance yet as Juventus continue to look solid.

31 minPereyra and Reus clash as play is interrupted again, but Schmelzer eventually delivers a dangerous free kick which is headed behind by Vidal. Chiellini then clears from the corner.

29 minWe've not seen enough of Reus in the first half, and Aubameyang has barely had a kick due to some fine defending from Chiellini and Bonucci. It's been a fine defensive performance from the visitors so far.

27 minSUBSTITUTION: That's a big blow for Juventus. Pogba limps off the pitch and is replaced by Andrea Barzagli.

26 minVery worrying signs for Juventus. Pogba clutches his hamstring after a foul from Papastathopoulos. His night could be over.

25 minThe Juventus midfield are working very hard without the ball, and Tevez and Morata have been a good outlet when the visitors have been able to win possession. An early goal was key, and Dortmund are looking frustrated.

23 minVidal is a very lucky boy. He jumps into a challenge on Reus before appearing to react angrily to the free kick call with a little kick on his rival. The Chilean manages to avoid a yellow card again as Dortmund win the set piece on the left wing. However, Buffon collects the cross with ease.

21 minPoor from Reus. He goes for the cross but can't clear the first man. Dortmund come back moments later through Schmelzer, whose effort is blocked in the box.

20 minBetter from Dortmund as they press high to win the ball in midfield. Schmelzer knocks it past Vidal to win a free kick on the edge of the box. Will Reus have a go?

18 minDortmund are certainly enjoying more of the ball now, but they're struggling to pose a threat to the home defence as Chiellini clears a cross from the left. Kampl then wastes a good opportunity on the other side as he picks out Buffon's gloves.

16 minSAVE! Lichtsteiner decides to follow Tevez by trying his luck from distance, and Weidenfeller looks nervy as he punches the ball away. He recovers well to clear the corner which follows.

14 minWhen you look back at the Tevez goal again, it really is an excellent strike, but it wasn't quite the top corner. Some may point the finger at Weidenfeller, but I'm not sure if any goalkeeper would have been able to react quickly enough to stop such a powerful effort. It didn't even look like the shot was on.

13 minMorata shows good skill again to find space on the wing, but Hummels steps in with the perfect sliding tackle. Juventus are quick to retreat when attacks break down, and Dortmund waste some good possession with an aimless long ball.

11 minIt's a very promising start for Juventus. Not only are they ahead, but they look composed at both ends of the pitch. Pogba is staying wide when the visitors attack, and it looks like he fancies his chances against Sokratis.

8 minGreat goalkeeping from Buffon as he comes off his line to punch away the first corner of the night. Dortmund are starting to dominate possession, but the visitors look comfortable.

7 minPossession has been shared pretty evenly early on, but Dortmund have given the ball away too often in the final third of the pitch. Juventus are doing a very good job of getting men behind the ball.

5 minDortmund must now score twice without conceding just to force extra time. I mentioned that an early goal could be important, and Juventus are certainly in the driving seat now. They can afford to hit the hosts on the break.

4 minWhat a goal! Moments after a promising attack breaks down, Juventus score what could prove to be a crucial opening goal, and it's Tevez who produces a moment of magic. The Argentine collects the ball 25 yards from goal before taking a touch and picking out the top corner. Weidenfeller just couldn't react to the strike. What a start to this match.

2 minYou can barely hear the travelling Juventus supporters early on, but they are left delighted when Pogba displays some brilliant skill to beat two players in midfield. It's been a frantic start.

7.42pmHere we go then. The players are on their way out at Signal Iduna Park. Juventus lead 2-1 on aggregate. A quarter-final spot awaits one of these sides.

7.36pmHow important will the home supporters be tonight? There will be incredible noise from the first whistle, and Mats Hummels is hoping to get the crowd involved in the game as much as possible. "We want to use the home crowd to our advantage," the Dortmund captain told reporters. "Straight from the start, we want to make the fans giddy with excitement."

7.30pmPREDICTION: It's an incredibly tough match to call tonight. Dortmund can tear sides apart at home, but we're never sure what to expect from them this season. It should be a close game, and an early goal could see it open up quickly. I'll go for a 2-2 draw, Juve to go through on away goals.

7.23pmKEY BATTLE: Giorgio Chiellini's slip may have led to Dortmund's goal in the first leg, but he was a key reason why there were very few other chances for the German side last month. His positioning and aggressiveness gives him an edge over so many players. However, Aubameyang is surely one of the quickest players in club football at the moment, and if the Gabon international can get into the channels, he could give the Italian a difficult evening.

However, Klopp is fully aware just how difficult it will be to break down the Juventus defence while attempting to stay tight at the back. "We face one of the biggest challenges in football - to win against an Italian side who only need a draw," he told reporters. "If you have to lose away from home, you want to lose 2-1 so we are still in a good position. It is up to us."

7.10pmSTAT: Dortmund have won just two of the last eight meetings between these two sides, with their most recent victory coming in the 1997 final. The man of the match on that day? Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert, who was given the task of man-marking Zinedine Zidane.

7.08pmJuventus may be ahead at the moment, but Allegri knows that the tie is far from over. He warned his players yesterday that they will probably need to score again tonight to secure their progress. You'd expect him to be proved right, but it could be the first goal which makes the biggest difference to the tie. "It's unlikely to end 0-0, so we need two goals to go through. In the first leg we didn't allow them a shot on goal, and Borussia scored because [Giorgio] Chiellini slipped, while we had several chances to score," the Juve boss told reporters.

Despite reviving their Bundesliga campaign, goalless draws in their last two league games has seen their progress stall once again. It's been a different story in the Champions League, and with their home famous supporters behind them confidence should be high. After leading his team away from the relegation zone, the focus probably should be on this competition. A 1-0 win would be enough tonight.
