Kean pleads not guilty to drink-driving charge

Steve Kean has pleaded not guilty to last month’s alleged drink-driving incident.

The Blackburn Rovers manager was pulled over on the M6 in Cheshire on May 14, hours after his team drew 1-1 to Manchester United in their final home game of the season.

A breath test suggested that the 43-year-old was almost twice the legal level.

Kean was granted unconditional bail pending his trial at Macclesfield magistrates’ court on August 15.
