Content Timo Werner plays down Bayern Munich link

Timo Werner insists that he is happy at Stuttgart following recent reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

Stuttgart striker Timo Werner has played down reports linking him with a summer move to Bayern Munich.

Werner's impressive performances for the Bundesliga's bottom club are believed to have attracted interest from Bayern, but the 18-year-old insists that he has not been contacted about a possible transfer.

"Bayern interest? I have only read about it," he told Goal. "I am not thinking about where I would possibly like to play after Stuttgart. I am focused on Stuttgart at this stage.

"I have a contract with Stuttgart until June 2018. I have always stressed that Stuttgart is my club and that I am very happy here."

Werner became the youngest player to make his 50th appearance in the Bundesliga as Stuttgart lost 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund on Friday evening.
