Bayern Munich have announced that winger Kingsley Coman will not play again before the year is out after suffering "serious" knee and ankle injuries.
The 20-year-old sustained ligament damage and a tear in his left ankle during a training session with the France national team on Wednesday ahead of games against Sweden and the Ivory Coast.
After being looked over by Bayern's medical staff, it was confirmed that the winger will miss the next two months of action.
A statement from the Bundesliga giants on their official website read: "The injury sustained by Bayern pro Kingsley Coman at the France national team training camp in Clairefontaine has turned out to be serious.
"On Thursday an examination by FC Bayern's medical unit revealed the Bayern winger has torn a ligament in his knee and sustained a caspular tear in his left ankle. The 20-year-old will be sidelined for the rest of the year."
Coman, who has made six appearances in the Bundesliga so far this season, will be absent for the club's next eight games, including a Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
