German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund clash on Saturday in Der Klassiker.
The two Bundesliga heavyweights are separated by just one point in the table, with Dortmund going into the fixture two places above their opponents in second.
Here, the PA news agency looks at some of the most memorable encounters between the two teams this decade.
Bayern 1-3 Dortmund – Bundesliga – Feb 26 2011
Bayern were reigning champions while Dortmund had not finished in the top four since the 2002-03 campaign, but Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund went into the game top of the Bundesliga while their opponents were struggling in fourth. A stunning victory in Munich – the club's first in 19 years – provided the statement victory of Dortmund's first title win since 2001-02 and reignited the rivalry between the two clubs. Lucas Barrios put Dortmund ahead, Luiz Gustavo briefly restored parity, but Nuri Sahin made it 2-1 after 18 minutes and Mats Hummels added a third on the hour mark as Dortmund celebrated a statement victory on their way to a first title in nine seasons.
Dortmund 5-2 Bayern – DFK-Pokal final – May 12 2012
Dortmund again recorded a league double over Bayern and clinched back-to-back titles. And they then produced a masterclass to achieve the club's first double. Shinji Kagawa gave Dortmund an early lead at Berlin's Olympic Stadium and, after Arjen Robben levelled from the penalty spot, Mats Hummels restored BVB's lead with a spot-kick of their own. Robert Lewandowski then hit a hat-trick while Franck Ribery's strike was much too late for Bayern.
Bayern 2-1 Dortmund – Champions League final – May 25 2013
Bayern restored domestic superiority by beating Dortmund to the Bundesliga title and knocking them out on the way to winning the DFB-Pokal. And the two German clubs met again at Wembley in the Champions League final, with the rivalry further growing by the announcement of Dortmund star Mario Gotze's summer move to Bayern already having been made. The injured Gotze sat out final against his future club and watched Robben score an 89th-minute winner to clinch the treble for Bayern.
Bayern 2-0 Dortmund (aet) – DFB-Pokal final – May 17 2014
Pep Guardiola picked up the first of his two doubles as Bayern boss – but his side left it very late. The two sides could not be separated in 90 minutes but goals in the second half of extra-time from Robben and Thomas Muller sealed another victory for Bayern, who would sign Lewandowski from their rivals in the summer.
Bayern 6-0 Dortmund – Bundesliga – March 31 2018
Lewandowski had scored seven goals in as many league games against his former club before he exploded with a hat-trick in a six-goal rout. He grabbed the first and fourth goals of a five-goal blitz in the first half and then rounded off the scoring – and secured the match ball – with three minutes left. Dortmund would finish 29 points behind Bayern, who recorded their sixth straight Bundesliga title.
Dortmund 3-2 Bayern – Bundesliga – Nov 10 2018
Lewandowski scored two more in last season's meeting in Dortmund, but it was the hosts who prevailed in a thriller. The Poland striker twice gave Bayern the lead but Marco Reus cancelled each of them out before Paco Alcacer scored the winner with 17 minutes left. Dortmund led the table for much of the campaign but Bayern eventually overhauled their rivals – helped by a 5-0 rout in the return meeting – and clinched the title by two points.
