Cywka had finished last season with Reading but he was released after they were promoted to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old began his career with Wigan Athletic but he failed to make a league appearance for the club.
The Poland youth international signed for Derby County in 2010, scoring five goals in 38 league appearances for the Rams.
