Preview: Barnsley vs. Birmingham City

Sports Mole looks ahead to this weekend's Championship match between Barnsley and Birmingham City.

Only four points separate Barnsley and Birmingham City as they prepare to go head to head at Oakwell in the Championship this weekend.

Both sides reside in the bottom half of the table, with David Flitcroft's Barnsley team just two points off 24th place after picking up 11 points from 16 games.

The home side's last win came in the form of a 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough on October 19, with three draws and one defeat following.

They have also struggled in defence having kept just one clean sheet so far this season, while Birmingham are not in a much better position considering that they are just four points above the relegation spots.

Lee Clark's men have clinched just one victory in their last six fixtures, but they will be boosted by the news that Jesse Lingard has extended his loan from Manchester United until the New Year.

The Blues were able to secure a 2-1 victory in this fixture last season.
