Barnsley pair Lee Johnson, Sam Winnall do League Two January double

League One's Manager and Player of the Month have both gone to Barnsley, with Lee Johnson collecting the manager's prize and Sam Winnall named January's top player in the third tier.

The Tykes are lying in mid-table and closing in on the playoffs after a perfect five wins from five under Johnson in January, scoring 13 goals and conceding just two.

Winnall was the league's standout player with seven goals and two assists last month.

The striker also bagged a hat-trick in the 6-1 win over Rochdale.
