Villarreal have completed the signing of Barcelona's Denis Suarez on a four-year deal, bringing a premature end to the player's two-year loan to Sevilla.
The 21-year-old formed part of the deal which saw Ivan Rakitic join the Spanish champions from Sevilla last summer.
Barcelona maintain an option to repurchase the attacking midfielder at the end of the season.
The Catalan club also have the option to bring Suarez back to the Camp Nou at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, as well as first refusal if those rights are not exercised.
The former Manchester City player, who scored six goals in 46 appearances for Sevilla, never made a senior appearance for Barcelona.
