Monaco defender Caio Henrique welcomes suggestions that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.

Monaco defender Caio Henrique has welcomed suggestions that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him during this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old arrived at Monaco from Atletico Madrid last summer and impressed during the 2020-21 campaign, making 36 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club.

A recent report claimed that Barca and PSG were keen to sign the Brazilian in the upcoming market, and Henrique has said that "it is a great pleasure" to be linked with "very important clubs".

"I am very calm with all this," Henrique told Goal. "I try not to get involved and concentrate only on [what happens on the] pitch and I leave it (transfer talk) in the hands of my representatives.

"Of course, it is a great pleasure to hear about these very important clubs, but I have my feet on the ground and I always try to do my best, no matter where I am playing. I am very focused and committed to the jersey that I wear, and that will never change."

Henrique, who contributed five assists in 31 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign, is believed to be valued by Monaco in the region of €25m (£21.7m).
