Rayo Vallecano 2-3 Athletic Bilbao

Fernando Llorente claimed a hat-trick to help Athletic Bilbao claim all three points from their trip to Rayo Vallecano this evening.

It was the home side who broke the deadlock with ten minutes on the clock courtesy of Miguel Perez Cuesta, only for Llorente to cancel out that advantage five minutes later.

The reported Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool transfer target put Bilbao in front in the 22nd minute.

However, Rayo held a share of the spoils heading into the break thanks to a close range strike from Alejandro Arribas.

The winning goal came in the 68th minute when Llorente headed Gaizka Toquero's cross into the top right hand corner of the net.
