Report: Arsenal considering move for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simon

Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to sign Unai Simon from Athletic Bilbao as a possible replacement for Bernd Leno.

Another high-profile error from Leno cost Arsenal dearly in their 1-0 loss to Everton in Friday's Premier League clash.

The Germany international may be living on borrowed time, as Spanish outlet La Razon suggests that Arteta is searching for a new keeper.

Simon, who has been a regular for Athletic for the past two seasons, is said to have been identified as a good long-term option.

However, Arsenal are not alone in showing an interest in the 23-year-old, with Premier League rivals West Ham United also having been previously linked.
