Lukas Podolski: 'Mesut Ozil a great signing for Arsenal'

Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has expressed his delight at the club's stunning signing of Mesut Ozil.

The Gunners completed a deal for the Real Madrid midfielder for a club-record fee of £42.5m on transfer deadline day.

Podolski believes that the acquisition of his German teammate is brilliant news for the Premier League.

"This is great, for me, for Arsenal and for English football," Podolski told reporters.

Ozil has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
