Karim Benzema denies Arsenal talk

Karim Benzema has denied having had contact with Arsenal over a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Real Madrid striker has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, but insists he is ready to secure a starting place at the club.

"My place is at this club," Benzema told French newspaper L'Equipe.

"I have never talked to Mr Wenger or anyone else.

"I want to enjoy success here. I have found my self-belief. This season, I know we will win titles," he added.

The French international joined Madrid from Lyon in 2009 for €35m (£30m).
