Arsenal will reportedly receive £5m from Jeff Reine-Adelaide's move from Angers to Lyon due to the 20% sell-on clause they inserted when they sold him last summer.

Arsenal are reportedly set to earn £5m from Jeff Reine-Adelaide's move to Lyon.

The former Gunners youth prospect is set to join Lyon from fellow Ligue 1 side Angers in a deal believed to be worth £23m with £2.3m in add-ons, as well as a 15 per cent sell-on clause.

Arsenal allowed the midfielder, now 21 years old, to leave last summer for a small fee, but included a 20% sell-on clause that will land them £5m from the deal, according to the Evening Standard.

Reine-Adelaide played largely on the right for the Gunners but occasionally featured in a central role in his native France and his performance have earned him a big-money move just one year after leaving London.

The Frenchman played 35 Ligue 1 games last term, scoring three goals and recording three assists - half of which came from just seven games in central midfield.
