Arsenal reportedly maintain an interest in Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Last week, it was claimed that the Gunners were prepared to offer Ozyakup a big-money deal to secure his signature on a free transfer in the summer.

According to The Mirror, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was keen for a report on how Ozyakup matched up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League fixture between the sides on Tuesday night.

However, the 25-year-old remained on the bench as his Turkish side succumbed to a 5-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena.

Between 2008 and 2012, Ozyakup was contracted to Arsenal but the then-youngster only made two appearances, with both coming in the EFL Cup.
