Perry Groves: 'Arsene Wenger's under pressure by fans'

Perry Groves believes that Arsene Wenger is under pressure from the fans following yesterday's derby-day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Arsenal winger Perry Groves believes that manager Arsene Wenger is feeling the pressure from the club's supporters.

The Frenchman has admitted that it will be "difficult" for the Gunners to finish in the top four of the Premier League following yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

"There's no serious threat because he's done such a good job financially," Groves told BBC Radio Five Live. "He is under pressure from the fans because they've seen the best players leave season after season, they pay the dearest season ticket prices in European football and all they care about is what happens on the pitch."

Arsenal are now five points away from a coveted Champions League spot in the table.
