Olivier Giroud delighted for "very important" Joel Campbell

Olivier Giroud claims that there is more to come from Joel Campbell after the Costa Rican helped Arsenal earn a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

Olivier Giroud has claimed that Joel Campbell can prove his worth to Arsenal while key players are out of action due to injuries.

The Gunners are currently without Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla, but they moved up to second in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.

Campbell started the scoring at the Emirates Stadium, and Giroud believes that there is more to come from the Costa Rican.

"I'm happy for him because he has the opportunity to show his talent," Giroud told the club's website. "He's a top guy who is very generous on the pitch because he never gives up.

"It's not always been easy for him but I always used to speak with him, encourage him and when he's playing like that he's very important for us.

"Hopefully we're going to see more of him in that form."

Campbell is likely to keep his place in the side for Wednesday's crucial Champions League game against Olympiacos.
