Jake Livermore confident of FA Cup upset against Arsenal

Jake Livermore is confident that Hull City can cause a shock against Arsenal in next month's FA Cup final.

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore has insisted that his team can cause a shock against Arsenal in next month's FA Cup final.

The Tigers reached their first major final by beating Sheffield United 5-3, while the Gunners saw off holders Wigan Athletic on penalties.

Even though Arsenal are favourites to lift the famous piece of silverware at Wembley Stadium on May 17, Livermore believes that Hull have what it takes to spring a surprise.

"It is a fantastic opportunity for us to make history and in the FA Cup anything can happen," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"We saw in the first semi-final Wigan didn't make it straightforward and then you look at our game, we were the same.

"Hopefully, we can cause an upset, but we have to play them on Sunday first and that is all we are focused on."

Hull welcome Arsenal to the KC Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
