Arsenal receive triple training boost for PSG Champions League clash

On the grass: Arsenal receive triple training boost ahead of PSG match

Arsenal have received a triple injury boost ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Gunners are coming into a midweek of continental action following a dramatic 4-2 success over strugglers Leicester City in the Premier League on the weekend.

After Arsenal had taken a two-goal lead in the first half, an unexpected brace from full-back James Justin restored parity in the contest for the Foxes.

However, it was the Gunners who were destined to have the last laugh, with a Wilfred Ndidi own goal and a Kai Havertz strike making sure of maximum points in the end.

Mikel Arteta's troops join Manchester City as the only sides who are yet to lose in the Premier League this season, with Arsenal sitting third in the early rankings.

Arsenal handed triple fitness boost ahead of PSG

Ahead of Tuesday night's showdown with Ligue 1 champions PSG at the Emirates, Arsenal have received a welcome triple injury boost, although there is one player set to miss out.

Gunners defender Ben White was not present in training for the first team on Monday afternoon, meaning that he is set to miss a third game following absences against Bolton Wanderers and Leicester.

In better news, Mikel Merino has taken to the training pitches with his teammates and could make his competitive debut for Arsenal against Southampton on the weekend.

Moving to the backline, Riccardo Calafiori has a doubt for Tuesday's clash after appearing to suffer a hamstring issue on the weekend, however the Italian was in training on Monday.

Elsewhere in defence, Takehiro Tomiyasu was also involved in Monday afternoon's session, with the Japan international battling back from a knee injury.

Who is left in Arsenal's medical room?

Arsenal remain without the services of chief creator Martin Odegaard, with the midfielder picking up an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway in early September.

German star Havertz has played in Odegaard's attacking-midfield role in his absence, as well as Belgium international Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners are also unable to call upon the talents of full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is expected back after the international break from a calf issue.
