How to watch Armenia vs. Portugal: Date, time, live stream and TV channel

After winning the Nations League in June, Portugal will get their 2026 World Cup campaign underway when they travel to Yerevan for Saturday's meeting with Armenia

Portugal have not missed a World Cup since 1998, so they will expect to secure qualification from a group that contains Armenia, Hungary and the Republic of Ireland.

As for Armenia, they are bidding to create history by reaching their first-ever major tournament as an independent nation.

Here, Sports Mole provides details of how to tune into the World Cup qualifier

What time does Armenia vs. Portugal kick off?

The World Cup qualifier will kick off at 8pm local time and 5pm in the UK on Saturday evening.

Where is Armenia vs. Portugal being played?

The match will be held at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in the Armenian capital of Yerevan.

These two nations faced off in this stadium in European Championship qualifying in 2015, when Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick inside an hour in a 3-2 victory.

What is at stake for Armenia and Portugal?

Portugal are already guaranteed a place in the World Cup qualifying playoffs as a result of their performance in the 2024-25 Nations League.

While they may have that safety net, Roberto Martinez's side will be looking to secure automatic qualification by finishing in top spot in Group F.

Meanwhile, first position is likely to be out of reach for Armenia, but they will have hopes of claiming second place and a spot in the playoffs.

Realistically, Armenia will view Hungary and Ireland as their rivals for the qualifying campaign, so a positive result on Saturday would be seen as a welcome bonus.
