Annan Athletic grab key win over Albion Rovers

Jim Chapman's Annan Athletic side secured a precious win against high-flying Albion Rovers at Galabank thanks to Josh Todd's late winner this evening.

The home side got off to the perfect start when David Hopkirk fired past Neil Parry at the back post on eight minutes.

Ten minutes later Hopkirk found Todd with a smart cross, but the midfielder's effort flew narrowly over.

Matt Flynn and Peter Weatherson combined well shortly after the restart, but Parry was down quickly to deal with Weatherson's shot.

Albion were level through Scott Chaplain on 70 minutes, but Annan snatched all three points through Todd's late long-range effort.
