Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson reveals an interest in Altrincham striker Duncan Watmore.

Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson has revealed that he is interested in signing Altrincham striker Duncan Watmore.

The 18-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in the Conference North this season, is regarded as one of the best young talents in the lower tier of English football.

"We have been made aware of Watmore and we've been monitoring him for a while," Ferguson told the Peterborough Telegraph.

"It was a good opportunity to watch him at Histon and he did well, but we will carry on looking at him for now."

A host of other Championship clubs are also reportedly monitoring proceedings.
