Joaquin Fernandez joins Liverpool on trial

Highly-rated Almeria midfielder Joaquin Fernandez has joined Liverpool on trial.

The 17-year-old will reportedly spend the next 10 days with the Premier League outfit with a view to gaining a contract at their academy.

It is believed that the trial was part of a clause that allowed Almeria to take Spanish Under-21 international Suso on loan from Anfield at the beginning of the season.

Fernandez is a regular for the club's B side and has also been capped at both Under-16 and Under-17 levels for Spain.
