Report: AC Milan want Asier Illarramendi on loan

AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi on loan in the January transfer window.

Milan had been keen to acquire Sami Khedira from Los Blancos, but it is understood that a move for the German is no longer a possibility.

Instead, Milan will approach Real Madrid over the loan signing of Spaniard Illarramendi, according to Tuttosport.

The 24-year-old moved to the Spanish capital from Real Sociedad in 2013, but has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot at the Bernabeu.
