Aberdeen have appealed against the red card that Barry Robson received against Dundee United on Saturday.
The midfielder was dismissed during his side's 1-0 win after catching Charlie Telfer with his arm while clearing the ball.
Robson claimed after the match that the collision was an accident.
The 36-year-old will be hit with a two-match suspension if his appeal fails at Hampden Park on Thursday.
Aberdeen continue their Scottish Premiership campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
