Aberdeen appeal Barry Robson red card

Aberdeen lodge an appeal against the red card that midfielder Barry Robson received against Dundee United.

Aberdeen have appealed against the red card that Barry Robson received against Dundee United on Saturday.

The midfielder was dismissed during his side's 1-0 win after catching Charlie Telfer with his arm while clearing the ball.

Robson claimed after the match that the collision was an accident.

The 36-year-old will be hit with a two-match suspension if his appeal fails at Hampden Park on Thursday.

Aberdeen continue their Scottish Premiership campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
