Phil Taylor hoping to continue Premier League revival

Phil Taylor hopes that he can continue his revival in the Betway Premier League by beating Gary Anderson in the fourth round of games tonight in Exeter.

Phil Taylor is hopeful that he can continue his Betway Premier League revival with a victory over Gary Anderson tonight in Exeter.

The 53-year-old lost his opening two games of the tournament - including a 7-0 whitewash at the hands of Michael van Gerwen - which left him in a perilous position at the bottom of the table.

'The Power' got his campaign up and running with a 7-3 victory over Simon Whitlock last time out, however, which he hopes can push him on ahead of his UK Open title defence on Saturday.

"It's a massive weekend ahead and it would be a brilliant way to start it with a win in Exeter," Taylor is quoted as saying by Exeter Express & Echo. "My form's picking up and now I know that everything I'm doing in practice is right.

"You do everything to try to improve, and now I know it's working after last week so I want to take that into the game with Gary. We often bring the best out of each other and it's been great to see him getting back to his best recently."

Elsewhere, Dave Chisnall meets Raymond van Barneveld, while Whitlock takes on Wes Newton in the final game of the night.
