Dave Chisnall targeting playoff place

Dave Chisnall targets a place in the Darts Premier League playoffs ahead of round 13 in Birmingham tonight.

Dave Chisnall has targeted a playoff place in the Darts Premier League ahead of his double bill in Birmingham tonight.

The 33-year-old, who is four points adrift of a top-four finish, faces Robert Thornton and Phil Taylor in round 13.

"I've got four games left and that's eight points I can win, so that can still get me there," Chisnall is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It depends on the other games but I'm looking forward to this week.

"I'm playing Robert Thornton and Phil Taylor, and hopefully I can do the double there. Phil's still the best player in the world - when he's 'on' he's something different - so it will be good to play him.

"I think I'm playing well, so I've just got to tidy up a little bit on my doubles."

Elsewhere, third-placed Peter Wright takes on Adrian Lewis.
