Mark Cavendish wins Sports Personality award

Mark Cavendish has won the 2011 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Darren Clarke came second, while Mo Farah finished third.

Elsewhere, the England cricket team were named the Team of the Year, while Novak Djokovic picked up the Overseas award.

Sir Steve Redgrave was given the Lifetime Achievement award.
