Denmark's Simone Christensen takes BMX gold in Baku

Denmark's Simone Christensen has won gold in the women's cycling BMX final at the European Games.

The Dane finished in a time of 37.074 seconds to narrowly beat France's Magalie Pottier (37.287), who picked up silver.

Czech Republic's Aneta Hladikova (37.891) took bronze ahead of Netherlands duo Merle van Benthem and Laura Smulders.

The men's BMX final will take place later this afternoon.
