Marlon Samuels reported for suspect bowling action

Marlon Samuels is reported for bowling with a suspect action for the third time in his West Indies career.

Marlon Samuels has been reported for a suspect bowling action for the third time in his West Indies career.

The 34-year-old has been notified of the decision following the innings-and-six-runs defeat to Sri Lanka in the first Test at Galle.

Samuels was initially prevented from bowling for almost four years after being reported in 2008, before his quicker deliveries were banned in 2013.

Since that decision, Samuels has just been bowling his off-breaks but he will now have to undergo tests with the ICC within the next 14 days.

The part-time spinner can continue to bowl until the results are revealed, which means he will be available to join the attack when the second Test begins in Colombo on Thursday.
