Pakistan take two wickets after tea

Sri Lanka have reached 178-3 after the second day of the first Test against Pakistan in Galle.

The first day was completely washed out, but play was able to get underway today as Pakistan won the toss and opted to field.

Kaushal Silva's unbeaten half-century helped the hosts into three figures at tea and he remains at the crease on 80 not out after today's play.

Silva and Kumar Sangakkara posted a second-wicket partnership of 112 before the latter was removed just after reaching his 50 by Wahab Riaz.

Lahiru Thirimanne (8) was the other batsman to fall on the second day, leaving Angelo Mathews (10 not out) at the crease with Silva heading into day three.
