Faf du Plessis will resume on 99 not out after lunch on the second day of the second Test match with New Zealand in Port Elizabeth.

The 28-year-old has helped his team to 390-5 and is now poised for his second Test match century.

The scoring has been slow so far on the second day, with just 65 runs added during the morning session.

Trent Boult made the breakthrough for the Kiwis as he took the wicket of Hashim Amla for 110, but otherwise their attack have toiled.

Dean Elgar (31*) has ably assisted Du Plessis as the hosts look to rack up a big first-innings total.
