Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore have beaten Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets in the IPL.

Virat Kohli won the toss for Bangalore and he decided to put to Knight Riders into bat.

It did not start well for Kolkata as Manvinder Bisla was dismissed in the opening over.

However, they rallied but scoring was slow as Jacques Kallis was dismissed by Vinay Kumar for 16.

Gautam Gambhir hit a swift 59 to put the Knight Riders towards a competitive total but a flurry of wickets followed and they had to settle for 154-8.

In response, Bangalore started slowly and lost Mayank Agarwal early on.

However, Chris Gayle got stuck into the Kolkata attack and started to smack sixes all around the ground.

Kohli put on 35 before he was dismissed off the bowling of Lakshmipathy Balaji.

However, Gayle (85*) and AB de Villiers (22*) saw RCB to a comfortable win inside 18 overs.
