Durham thrash Derbyshire in T20 Blast

Durham have thrashed Derbyshire by eight wickets in their T20 Blast encounter at Chester-le-Street.

Derbyshire, who were put into bat first, were bowled out for 125 before Durham raced to 129-2 with around seven overs remaining.

Chesney Hughes (30) and Alex Hughes (43) stood out with the bat for the visitors, though Greg Cork was the only other batsman to reach double figures.

John Hastings finished with figures of 4-26 for Durham, while Paul Collingwood and Ben Stokes took two wickets apiece.

The home side then chased down their target with relative ease as big scores from Phil Mustard (54) and Stokes (49 not out) did most of the damage out in the middle.
