Adelaide Strikers have secured a home semi-final in the Big Bash League with a 23-run victory over Sydney Sixers.
The Strikers posted a score of 182-6 from their 20 overs before they bowled the Sixers out for 159 with two balls remaining.
Craig Simmons (46) and Johan Botha (41 not out) impressed with the bat for the hosts, while Tim Ludeman (31), Ryan ten Doeschate (26) and Jono Dean (13) also made significant contributions at the crease.
Doug Bollinger, Nathan Lyon and Sean Abbott were among the wicket-takers for Sydney, who have now lost three matches in the competition.
Despite a defiant 67 from Jordan Silk, the Sixers struggled for runs when it was their turn out in the middle. Nic Maddinson (18), Michael Lumb (17), Riki Wessels (15) and Moises Henriques (10) were the only other players to make it into double figures.
Botha, Kane Richardson and Shaun Tait all took two wickets apiece for Adelaide, who also had Ben Laughlin and Adam Zampa do some damage with the ball.
