Pakistan open up lead over Sri Lanka

Pakistan have opened up a 90-run lead over Sri Lanka at tea on day four of the first Test match with Sri Lanka.

Having reached lunch on 259-6, 41 runs behind their hosts, Wahab Riaz fell for 14 after being bowled by Dilruwan Perera, before Yasir Shah soon followed for a quick-fire 23.

That dismissal brought Zulfiqar Babar to the crease, and alongside Asad Shafiq, the pair put on an unbeaten ninth-wicket partnership of 88 to leave Pakistan on 390-8 by the end of the session.

Shafiq will resume on 115 after bringing up his ton after lunch, while Babar will return to the crease after just moving past fifty.
