Much of their total was thanks to Fawad Alam, who got his maiden ODI ton with a six off Thisara Perera. He eventually finished with 114 off 134 deliveries.

Umar Akmal (59) also reached his 19th ODI fifty from just 35 balls, while skipper Misbah-ul-Haq got his 37th, but was out for 65.

Lasith Malinga did manage to bring up a fifer with the wicket of Akmal, meaning that he alone was responsible for Sri Lanka's wicket haul.
