Mohammad Amir to have psychological help

Teenage Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir will be offered psychological treatment following his release from prison.

Amir served half of a six-month jail sentence for his part in a spot-fixing scam against England in 2010 when no-balls were bowled deliberately.

The Pakistan Cricket Board have said that the left-arm bowler could make a return to the Test side if treatment is successful.

Zaka Ashraf, chairman of the PCB, said: "Psychologists will be there to change his mind to think whatever happened was a mistake.

"Then we might want to consider him to play for Pakistan again."

Amir will have to wait to make a return as he has a five-year playing ban imposed by the International Cricket Council.
