Chris Rushworth takes 15 wickets in a single day as Durham beat Northants

Chris Rushworth has made history by becoming the first Durham player to take 15 wickets in a County Championship match.

The 28-year-old's record haul came in a single day as Durham beat Northamptonshire by an innings and 219 runs on day three at Chester-le-Street.

Rushworth took 9-52 to help his side dismiss Northants for 83 in their first innings, but he continued his streak by adding a further six wickets to his tally in the opposition's second innings.

Northants could only rack up 90 runs, with Adam Rossington top scoring on 22.
