Bolt's agent confirms cricket snub

The agent of Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has revealed that the Jamaican will not be appearing in this year's Big Bash Twenty20 League.

The 26-year-old had reportedly held talks with former cricketer Shane Warne about appearing in the Australian tournament, but Ricky Simms has confirmed that the sprinter will not take part.

"Usain is currently an athlete focused on his preparations for the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. He may try his hand at cricket or football when he retires from running but that would be after 2016," Simms told BBC Sport.

Bolt, a Manchester United fan, has previously admitted a desire to take up professional football when he ends his athletics career.
