Alex Gidman suffers broken finger

A broken finger will prevent Alex Gidman from playing for Worcestershire in their remaining two County Championship matches of the 2105 season.

Worcestershire have confirmed that Alex Gidman will miss the remainder of the season with a broken finger.

The 34-year-old suffered the complaint during a training session at the ICG Emirates yesterday afternoon.

A subsequent scan revealed the extent of the damage, which will keep the batsman out of the final two County Championship matches of the campaign against Durham and Middlesex.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore has been drafted in as a replacement for Gidman, who has a high score of 78 this term.
